This post is mostly just for the sake of curing my boredom as Craig studies and I have nothing productive to do on a Sunday afternoon. So, I thought I'd give our readers... as few as there may be... a little insight into the isms of the Allred household.
Craig giggles and squeals like a girl... especially if he's laughing REALLY hard. This usually occurs when he's on the phone with Andrew Hardman. :)
I'm a closet perfectionist...on certain things. The things that drive me nuts the most are when our couch covers get all wrinkly, the table cloth is off center, and the dishes are not put away in exactly the right spot.
We have a slight obsession with the gym. We really like to work out together... I guess there are worse addictions. :)
I quote movies and songs embarrassingly often... I usually get confused looks from Craig until I explain what I was talking about.
Craig is very much the type of person who plans everything ahead of time. I don't. I'm more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type person. This drives Craig nuts sometimes.
We read Harry Potter together almost on a daily basis. We're currently on book 6.
Craig loves strategic games like Risk. I hate them. I'd much rather be rolling on the floor laughing than trying to force my way across the continent.
I forget sometimes that most people are not accustomed to talking about diseases and bodily issues on a daily basis. Craig is patient though and allows me to tell him about my experiences at clinicals without cringing too much.
Craig was my guinea pig when I learned how to give shots. He let me and my friend each give him a shot in the butt. I still owe him for that one.
I can lick my elbow... and just performed the task at a job interview because they asked me something unique about myself.
Craig is missing a toe on each foot... Not really. But he does have a larger than average space between his big toe and the next one making it difficult to wear flip-flops.
We have the world's first ever anorexic beta fish.
Craig is a morning person who manages to bounce out of bed excited and ready for the day. Me?...Not so much. I crawl out of bed rather groggy and I get my random bouts of energy at night.
The moral of the story? Opposites attract and we're weird, but you love us anyway. :)

Dear Corinne,
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your family! I need to get together with you more often. We are both in the same city... this is ridiculous. I see Craig more than I see you at this point - shows how much time I'm spending in the library these days. I will call you. We'll catch up on CNA and girlfriend things :)
Love you!
I am SO glad you licked your elbow at a job interview. That is wonderful!
